A look at all the vital statistics for this year's Wards 10 Best Engines winners.
I noticed you mentioned where every engine/aka "range extender" was manufactured except for the Chevy Volt? I know this engine is manufactured at GM's Toluca, Mexico engine plant. Did you leave the place manufactured off on only this car because you were trying to hide the fact it was made in Mexico?
I also noticed you put the Toyota 1.8 liter Prius engine on this list but in your other articles on your website you say their new 1.5 liter Prius engine was the winner. Which is it?
The 1.8L 4-cyl. is in the new Prius, which won a 2016 Wards 10 Best Engines trophy. In prior years, the Prius used a 1.5L 4-cyl. that also won. When you see reference to the 1.5L, it was for an earlier award.
Also, the Chevy Volt powertrain, including gasoline engine and electric motor, comes from multiple locations. There is no single "assembly site." That's why it appears that way.
