SCREEN 1: UPDATE SCREEN
Ward’s AutoInfoBank is the data reporting tool that lets you tailor your own reports from Ward’s database.
Using normal Internet access, subscribers to Ward’s AutoInfoBank connect directly to the Ward’s database. After logging in, the Update Screen greets users with information on the most recent data added to the database as well as when updates are likely to be added.
Ward's AutoInfoBank also houses links to other valuable Ward’s references our clients find useful, such as product cycle charts and SAAR tables.
SCREEN 2: MARKET AND DATA TYPE SELECTION
To retrieve the data you want in the form you want it, begin by selecting the market you’re interested in and the type of data to be obtained (sales, inventory, etc.).
Once the market and data type are selected, you can choose to look at the total industry or narrow your search using any of the data attributes. Delineate companies, segments of the markets and vehicle types – for example – to be included or excluded from your search.
SCREEN 3: CREATE AND DISPLAY OPTIONS
Next you’ll choose how to sort and display the data you’ve selected using any combination of data attributes. For example, you might choose to sort the data by manufacturer by brand by model line, or simply ask for a total number for the industry.
All groupings can show subtotals, and special font options and settings are available for formatting your report.
Before generating your report, you’ll specify the time periods the report will show, as well as any calculations to include – from market share to period-to-period change to daily sales and production rates to days’ supply.
SCREEN 4: SPREADSHEET RESULT
Within seconds, the Ward’s AutoInfoBank presents your data in a presentation-ready Excel spreadsheet. Edit it, print it, and/or save it to your own computer.
Best of all, Ward’s AutoInfoBank allows you to save and re-run any reports you build. Create your own monthly sales reports, for instance, and run them every month with just a click or two of your mouse. It’s that easy.
