NEW YORK, July 27 (Reuters) - Overseas shares traded in the United States were higher on Wednesday, as strong profit reports from foreign companies spurred demand. The Bank of New York's index of leading ADRs rose 0.58 point or 0.47 percent to 122.85, at a time when the 30-share Dow Jones industrial average was up 17.43 points or 0.16 percent at 10,597.20.
