American Axle quarterly earnings rise

CHICAGO, July 28 (Reuters) - Auto parts maker American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc. on Friday said quarterly earnings rose, supported by an increase in content on each vehicle that more than offset auto production declines.

Net income rose to $20.4 million, or 40 cents per share, from $18.9 million, or 37 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue rose less than 1 percent to $874.6 million.
