Arcelor to build $400 mln Brazil auto steel plant


BRASILIA, Brazil, June 23 (Reuters) - Steel giant Arcelor is planning to invest $400 million in a new plant to produce steel for Brazil's automobile sector, Chief Executive Guy Dolle said on Monday. When fully operational, the plant should have output capacity of about 400,000 tonnes of galvanized steel for the automobile sector and capacity for a further 1 million tonnes of other steel products, Dolle told journalists.
