ArvinMeritor to appeal retiree benefits ruling


CHICAGO, Dec 27 (Reuters) - Auto and truck parts maker ArvinMeritor Inc. on Tuesday said it intends to appeal a federal ruling that enjoins it from changing retiree health benefits at facilities it has closed or sold. A federal judge on Dec. 22 entered a preliminary injunction enjoining ArvinMeritor from implementing some changes on Jan. 1 for United Auto Workers retirees and ordered it to reinstate full UAW retiree benefits, reversing changes made in 2003 and 2005, ArvinMeritor said. ...
