July 25 (Reuters) - Car and truck parts maker ArvinMeritor Inc. said it would close its commercial vehicle systems assembly operation in St. Thomas, Ontario, cutting 17 jobs.
Operations based in St. Thomas will be transferred to ArvinMeritor's facility in Laurinburg, North Carolina, the company said in a statement.
The company said the closure was part of a restructuring program in North America and Europe which is expected to affect 13 plants and 2,800 employees. ...
