Audi appoints Faustmann to head Hungarian unit

BUDAPEST, Dec 16 (Reuters) - Thomas Faustmann, 41, will replace Jurgen Lunemann as head of German carmaker Audi's Hungarian unit as of April 1, 2004, the company said on Tuesday.

Lunemann, 51, will head the company's Neckarsulm plant in Germany, Audi said in a statement. Faustmann is currently the Hungarian unit's production director.

Audi Hungaria Motor Kft, based in Gyor, northwest Hungary, is the main engine production facility of Volkswagen's luxury arm and is the assembly plant for the Audi TT Coupes and Roadsters.
