Australia's Pacifica yr net profit falls


SYDNEY, Feb 23 (Reuters) - Australian auto brake parts maker Pacifica Group Ltd. said on Wednesday its calendar 2004 net profit fell 30 percent, hurt by soaring steel prices, weaker production and a stronger Australian dollar. The company reported a net profit for the 12 months to Dec. 31, 2004, of A$33.68 million ($26.5 million), compared with A$48.2 million a year earlier.
