Vancouver-based Electra Meccanica has begun building the Solo, a single-passenger EV retailing for C$19,888 ($15,500), at its Zongshen Solo EV production facility in Chongquing.
The committee says the proposal adapts the rules to changes in mobility behavior resulting from societal trends including more cyclists and pedestrians, an aging society and technological developments.
“With more than 90% of privately purchased cars being financed, potentially millions of drivers could be in for a shock when they come to replace their car,” Parkers Finance Editor Chris Lloyd says.
