Bank of New York says GM unit may sue over '99 sale

NEW YORK, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Bank of New York Co. on Thursday said General Motors Corp.'s finance arm may sue to reduce the $1.8 billion price it paid in 1999 for the bank's commercial lending unit.
