BorgWarner holders increase shares, allow split

CHICAGO, April 21 (Reuters) - Auto parts maker BorgWarner Inc. said on Wednesday its shareholders have approved to increase the number of common shares, allowing a two-for-one stock split.

The company said the number of authorized shares will triple to 150 million from 50 million as a result. The split will be effective May 17 to shareholders of record on May 3.
