TOKYO, April 27 (Reuters) - Top Japanese tyre maker Bridgestone Corp. said on Wednesday it would invest a total of about $300 million to build a new plant in China to produce truck and bus tyres.
Production at the plant, in the southern province of Guangdong, is scheduled to begin in January 2007, it said.
Output capacity will be increased gradually, reaching 5,000 tyres per day by the first half of 2009, it said in a statement.
