CHICAGO, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. said on Thursday that it would recall 297,000 Firestone Steeltex radial tires because of potential performance problems.
Bridgestone Americas, a Nashville, Tennessee-based unit of Japan's Bridgestone Corp. , said the tires were made from March 1999 to December 2002 in Quebec and were used on Ford Excursions from the model years 2000 through 2002 and some in early 2003.
