Bush won't veto Senate energy bill: White House

WASHINGTON, Dec 13 (Reuters) - The White House said late on Thursday that President George W. Bush would not veto a broad energy bill approved by the Senate that would increase the fuel efficiency of U.S. cars and significantly boost production of renewable motor fuels like ethanol.

"If this legislation makes it to the President's desk, he will sign it into law," the White House said in a statement. (Reporting by Tom Doggett)
