CAW says makes progress in DaimlerChrysler talks

TORONTO, Sept 19 (Reuters) - The Canadian Auto Workers said on Monday it has made "a lot of progress" in contract talks with DaimlerChrysler Canada and does not anticipate a strike when the deadline arrives on Tuesday.

The union even said that a deal could be reached later on Monday, but admitted that talks could also fall apart.
