Ceat shuts 2 plants temporarily to cut inventory


MUMBAI, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Tyre-maker Ceat Ltd said on Friday it has temporarily shut down its plants at Bhandup and Nashik in Maharashtra to avoid inventory pile-up. It has shut its Bhandup plant from Dec 26 to Dec 28, and its Nashik plant from Dec 25 to Dec 31. The plants will continue routine maintenence operations during the shut period, Ceat added.
