China's FAW Xiali returns to black in first half

SHANGHAI, Aug 27 (Reuters) - China's Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co Ltd , a partner of Japan's Toyota in China, said on Wednesday it bounded back into the black in the first half as car sales surged in a booming market.

The company posted net earnings of 352.41 million yuan versus a net loss of 406.51 million yuan in the same period of last year, it said in a statement published on the Shenzhen stock exchange's Web site, www.cninfo.com.cn.

FAW Xiali maintains a strategic partnership with Japan's top vehicle maker, Toyota Motor Corp, in three 50-50 manufacturing joint ventures. All lost money last year.
