Chrysler to file bankruptcy in New York - sources

NEW YORK, April 30 (Reuters) - Chrysler LLC is expected to file for bankruptcy Thursday in Manhattan bankruptcy court, according to sources with direct knowledge of the situation. An administration official said earlier on Thursday that the automaker would proceed with Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection proceedings now that talks with debtholders have broken down.
