Chrysler names new chief of product development


AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan 29 (Reuters) - The Chrysler unit of DaimlerChrysler AG said on Wednesday it named a new head of product development to replace Richard Schaum, a veteran engineering chief who is retiring after 37 years with the company. Eric Ridenour, 44, will take over for the 56-year-old Schaum as executive vice president of product development as of next week, Chrysler said.
