Continental makes 227 mln euro bid for Phoenix AG

FRANKFURT, March 29 (Reuters) - Germany's Continental AG on Monday launched a 227 million euro ($276.5 million) bid for rubber and plastics products maker Phoenix , saying it had commitments for some 37 percent of the shares.
