DaimlerChrysler open to stricter US fuel standards

WASHINGTON, Jan 23 (Reuters) - DaimlerChrysler AG's chief executive said on Tuesday the company would be open to considering stricter U.S. fuel efficiency standards if the government used a size-based formula for any increase.
