EU partially clears aid for BMW plant in Austria

BRUSSELS, May 27 (Reuters) - The European Commission approved 29.9 million euros ($35.32 million) of state subsidies for a BMW car plant at Steyr in Austria on Tuesday. The Commission said last October it was examining the aid because it suspected it was against European Union rules.
