EU probes Romanian tractor firm privatisation


BRUSSELS, Sept 25 (Reuters) - The European Commission said on Tuesday it had launched an investigation into possible violations of state-aid rules in the privatisation of Romanian tractor producer Tractorul. The EU executive ordered Romania to suspend the granting of any unlawful aid to the firm until the Commission had reached a decision on the compatibility of the aid, a statement said.
