EU satisfied with French guarantees on car loans

BRUSSELS, Feb 28 (Reuters) - The European Commission said on Saturday it was satisfied with guarantees set out by France that a state loan plan to its carmakers did not amount to protectionism. "The loan agreements to be concluded with the manufacturers will not contain any condition concerning either the location of their activities or the requirement to prioritise France-based suppliers," the Commission said in a statement.
