MILAN, June 24 (Reuters) - Fiat Auto is expecting its second-half operating profitability to be better than in the first half despite expectations that its largest market, Italy, could weaken further, the auto unit's CEO said on Monday.
Giancarlo Boschetti said in a statement that the Italian auto market would decline in the second-half due to seasonal factors.
"Still, despite quite difficult market conditions, Fiat Auto, as I have already said several times, will have, thanks to steps that we have begun to take, a second half better than the first from the perspective of operating profitability," he said.
