Ford to invest 550-600 mln euros in Belgium

BRUSSELS, Nov 13 (Reuters) - U.S. car maker Ford Motor Co. said on Thursday it would invest 550-600 million euros in its Genk plant in Belgium to make the next generation of two Ford brands.

"Genk now disposes of three important new products on which it can build a positive future," John Fleming, the vice president of manufacturing of Ford Europe, said in a statement.

Along with the new model of the Mondeo brand, which was announced earlier, the plant will also produce the next generation of the Galaxy and another unidentified model, he said.
