Ford recalls 43,459 Lincolns for air bag fix


DETROIT, May 16 (Reuters) - Ford Motor Co. will recall 43,459 Lincoln Continental sedans to recalibrate air bags that can go off on their own, federal regulators said on Friday. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the problem affected 1999 and 2000 model year Continentals. The air bag sensors in the vehicles could be triggered by road debris, such as gravel, hitting the underside of the car. NHTSA also said General Motors Corp. will recall 44,653 midsize SUVs ...
