DETROIT, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Ford Motor Co. on Monday said U.S. sales of cars and trucks fell 19 percent after its employee pricing discount program lost its luster and the sales of traditional sport-utility vehicles plunged.
Ford said it sold 228,157 vehicles last month compared with 282,656 vehicles in the year-earlier period.
The second-largest U.S. automaker's results include its import brands and some medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
