PARIS, Jan 16 (Reuters) - The European Commission needs to take a leading role in coordinating European Union aid to the struggling car sector, French Economy Minister Christine Lagarde said in a statement on Friday.
"Christine Lagarde asked the European Commission to play a fast and efficient coordination role in implementing a European action plan in favour of the automobile sector," the Economy Ministry said in a statement.
