France's Plastic Omnium H1 sales rise almost 20 pct

PARIS, July 21 (Reuters) - Plastic Omnium , which makes car parts and rubbish bins, posted a 19.7 percent rise in first-half sales and forecast sales should reach about 2 billion euros ($2.41 billion) this year based on its current backlog.

Sales rose to 1.052 billion euros on a pro forma IFRS accounting basis from 878.5 million euros, thanks to sturdy growth at its auto exterior unit. At constant exchange rates sales rose 14 percent, the French company, maker of plastic bumpers ...
