PARIS, Feb 1 (Reuters) - French car sales rose 6.5 percent in January, marking a positive start to 2005 year after a difficult 2004 marked by high raw material prices and a tough price war between manufacturers.
New car registrations rose to 164,192 units from 154,193 units in January 2004, France's CCFA car makers' association said on Tuesday.
"2005 has started on a positive note, after 2004 was marked by a stable French autos market," the CCFA said.
