PARIS, April 24 (Reuters) - Payouts to the departing heads of Renault and Vivendi Universal will attract strong scrutiny this week, after France unveiled plans to require shareholders to ok executives' farewell packages. Finance Minister Thierry Breton said on Saturday he would ask the government to adopt a change in regulations, requiring firms to obtain approval from shareholders for big bonuses paid to company chiefs when they step down.
