DETROIT, March 16 (Reuters) - Nearly half of U.S. consumers expect gasoline prices to rise more in the next six months in a move that could soon affect buying trends in the world's largest auto market, according to a survey released Tuesday.
The poll by CNW Marketing Research, a Bandon, Oregon-based group that tracks consumers and automotive sales, showed 48 percent of Americans expect higher pump prices in the near future.
