HONG KONG, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Shares of Chinese car maker Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. surged 5 percent early on Thursday on Manganese Bronze Holdings Plc's plan to form a joint venture to make London's black taxis in China.
Geely shares had gained HK$0.03 to HK$0.95 in pre-open trade before surging 5.4 percent to HK$0.97 just after the open.
