Geely says April car sales down on car show effect

HONG KONG, May 11 (Reuters) - Chinese car maker Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. said April sales slipped 10 percent from the previous month and 4.7 percent from the same time last year.

The drop was due to less working days in April, Geely said in a statement, adding that sales tended to be sluggish ahead of the Shanghai car show held at the end of April.

Geely said that its two associates sold a total of 11,060 vehicles in April.
