HONG KONG, Sept 9 (Reuters) - The parent of China's Geely Automotive will bid for Ford Motor-owned carmaker Volvo Car Corp with a local-government backed investment firm, a Geely executive said on Wednesday.
"The parent company won't do it alone as it is a big deal. It will take the lead," Geely's chief executive Gui Shengyue told Reuters.
