NEW YORK, March 31 (Reuters) - GenCorp Inc. , which makes components and systems for the automotive and aerospace industries, posted a quarterly loss due to lower results in its GDX Automotive unit and noncash expenses of $14 million from its employee retirement plan. For the fiscal first quarter ended Feb. 29, the Sacramento, California, company posted a net loss of 19 million, or 43 cents per share, including special items.
