NEW YORK, Jan 9 (Reuters) - GenCorp Inc. said Friday its 2003 earnings would exceed its prior expectations, but it would report a loss in 2004 as a result of a non-cash $55 million expense from employee retirement benefits.
The company, which makes components and systems for the automotive and aerospace industries, said that in 2003 it would exceed its prior earnings per share estimate of 41 to 46 cents.
