CHICAGO, June 20 (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. , the world's largest automaker, on Friday said it plans to raise about $10 billion by selling debt and convertible securities in an effort to improve its balance sheet.
GM said the proceeds will be used to partially fund its U.S. pension funds and other retiree benefit obligations.
