Generali would consider Fiat cap increase-CEO

MILAN, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Italian insurer Generali would consider taking part in any capital increase at carmaker and industrial group Fiat of which it is a stakeholder, one of Generali's two CEOs said on Wednesday.

Fiat, struggling to turn around losses, has said it is considering the possibility of a capital increase as part of a new anti-crisis plan.

"We do not know the terms of the increase. We also want to study the development plans that go with this possible increase. We want to see what the prospects are for our funds. Therefore we will study it, " Giovanni Perissinotto told reporters.

Generali has an 2.6 percent stake in Fiat, according to data from Italian market regulator Consob.
