GenTek hires Goldman to evaluate sale of company

PHILADELPHIA, Nov 3 (Reuters) - GenTek Inc. , which makes a range of products for the automotive, chemical and personal care markets, said on Wednesday that it has hired Goldman, Sachs & Co. to evaluate a possible sale of the company.

Hampton, New Hampshire-based GenTek had annual revenue of about $1 billion before the May 2004 sale of its Krone communications business, which accounted for $316 million in revenue, to ADC Telecommunications.
