CHICAGO, April 16 (Reuters) - Automotive parts supplier Gentex Corp. on Wednesday said quarterly earnings surged 36 percent on strong demand for its popular rearview mirrors.
The Zeeland, Michigan-based company, whose mirrors automatically dim to cut headlight glare, said first-quarter net income climbed to $25.9 million, or 34 cents a share, from $19.0 million, or 25 cents a share, in the same period a year ago.
