CHICAGO, July 20 (Reuters) - Gentex Corp. , a maker of self-dimming rearview mirrors for cars, on Thursday said quarterly earnings rose 4.6 percent, but said the challenging auto industry makes it hard to forecast shipments.
Net income rose to $27.2 million, or 18 cents per share, in the second quarter, from $26 million, or 17 cents per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 7.5 percent to $142.4 million.
