ATLANTA, July 18 (Reuters) - Genuine Parts Co. , a distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts, said on Thursday its quarterly net profit edged higher, as a solid auto market offset weak industrial operations.
The Atlanta-based company, which distributes auto parts under the NAPA brand, said second-quarter net income increased slightly to $96 million from $95 million the year before. Per-share net income was 55 cents per share, even with a year before.
