German advertising market grew 5.1 pct in 2006

FRANKFURT, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Germany's advertising sales in traditional media grew 5.1 percent to 20.1 billion euros ($26.2 billion) in 2006, driven by the soccer World Cup and the prospect of a hike in sales tax at the start of 2007, Nielsen Media Research said.
