FRANKFURT, Sept 5 (Reuters) - German car production and exports fell by close to a third last month, although new registrations in Europe's largest economy were down just five percent, the VDA auto industry association said on Friday.
The auto sector, which employs around one in five people in Germany, produced 265,100 cars in August, 31 percent below the year-earlier figure, while exports fell 32 percent to 183,100.
