FRANKFURT, Feb 7 (Reuters) - The German automotive industry association VDA called an EU proposal to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions for new cars ambitious and said on Wednesday other polluters must contribute their fair share as well.
"The announced target proposals are extremely demanding, require massive investments and confront all car manufacturers with enormous and extremely difficult challenges," VDA President Bernd Gottschalk said in a statement.
