FRANKFURT, Sept 4 (Reuters) - German carmakers are sticking to their forecast for a flat domestic market this year despite a sharp drop in new vehicle sales in August, the head of the VDA auto industry association said.
New car registrations in Europe's biggest economy should end up "somewhere around 3.2 million" units, Matthias Wissmann told reporters on Wednesday evening in remarks embargoed until Thursday.
