BERLIN, July 5 (Reuters) - German carmakers are pressing the government to allow them to classify smaller diesel cars without filters as environmentally friendly and therefore subject to tax incentives, Berliner Zeitung newspaper reported on Monday.
The head of the Deutsche Umwelthilfe environmental body, Juergen Resch, said the move would mean smaller diesel cars emitting up to 10,000 more particulates than larger capacity cars with filters.
